Here it comes again, grey, low

It’s cyclical. The feeling is well known. The energy is down. The anger is higher. The body is heavy or hurts. Something is missing, but it’s impossible to know what. Endless lists that were done in the past floats up again, without any new insight. You don’t even try to filter the reasons. You look at it from the inside and from the outside. Looking from the outside is a skill you developed in the countless times it felt like this in past. The meta look, the external look, was supposed to be a powerful tool, helping you pull yourself up, providing you with a clear fresh perspective. It does not help this time. Your friend is movement, alone time, and patient.

It’s grey. It will stay grey for some time. Don’t fight it, be it. And it will pass.

Age

Our mind is evolving with our experiences and age. We learn how to deal and cope. Some challenges we face still cause stress and fear, but the way we pass through them, and the way we deal with the outcome, no matter what it is, that’s the gift of getting older.

It means, maybe, that the more we actively experience and learn when we are young, then it pays off later when older.

On some areas, our weaknesses or fears, or what we consider as such, only grow with age. That’s exactly the opposite of the first paragraph. Why is that so? were those fears too deep, did we avoid dealing with them when younger?

Some adults keep adding more challenges and stress as they grow, sometimes life does it for them without a choice. I think a good goal would be to channel our life to moderate to no addition of challenges, at least as a wish.

And our body? that’s the part that keeps our feet grounded, You can grow, cope, achieve. At the same time our body demands more, able to less, our skin gets old, our health requires more maintenance. Maybe that’s the world way to show you can’t have it all, and where one area grows the other one goes back. We must accept it, because there’s no other way.

The best way, I think, is not to fight, not try to become younger because we can’t. Some people try, but it useless. Embrace it. Eat better, sleep, workout. Rest. And embrace the amazing mind growth we earn from our life experiences. It’s the mind and energy growing. The matter, is just matter.

Good friends

How do you know it’s deep? When you meet each other after a long time, it feels as if you saw each other yesterday. It feels like routine, with a little warmth inside. You know the good and the bad. It’s predictable but holds interesting updates.

Why it’s deep? because you’ve been to a lot together. Many times you didn’t choose each other, someone else did it for you, but the result is shared values, memories and experiences. Good times and many bad times. Everyone is an open book. No one tries to hide anything. No one can or wants to hide something.

When meeting a group of people with deep connection, there’s a special energy for that. People around this group can also feel it. The trust is high, the laughs are contagious.

You might feel tired after these meetings, but on a deeper level, it fills your battery. It strengthen the core that support your long term energy, not the daily one.

It’s valuable because there are no shortcuts. It’s deep because it’s deep. If it’s shallow, it will never be deep.

When tired meets tired – being mindfully sad

It’s an accident that cannot be avoided.

My definition of feeling well is that my well being is stable, even when I encounter something that can throw me out of balance. It means that you can touch the tip of your comfort zone without your pulse increasing too much. You can receive negative feedback and really listen to it in a constructive way. I can stand in a line, without sweating too much (not sure about this last one. Some lines cannot be crossed).
