Nirvana – The kingdom of god, the kingdom in me: a note from the wisdom of Thich Nhat Hanh

Am I in the prison of the past or the prison of the future? Or am I free?

The kingdom is available 24 hrs a day. Am I available to the kingdom?

mindfulness helps to get out of the prison and touch the kingdom.

To be alive – is to have the mindfulness energy, in me. To generate the energy of – mindfulness, concentration and insight.

The flower, the cloud, rain, body are manifestations of the wonderful Nirvana.

Nirvana in the here and the now.

Not just the lotus but also the mud.

Touch the kingdom of god in the everything.

Suffering is mud, happiness is lotus. And we make good use of the mud also.

Breathe in mindfully, bring your mind home to your body, in the here and in the now.

and you become fully present and alive. Just one in-breath.

I always go back to the wind, the trees, the rain. To Thich Nhat Hanh’s voice and words.

Move move move. Note for passives

Being Aggressive means*:

  1. Taking action
  2. Forceful and sometimes overly assertive pursuit of one aims
  3. It does not mean to be loud

You need to make things happen.

Start with your thoughts. Actions will come.

Getting no equals a little roadblock.

Why it’s all written here you might ask. There are times to look inside and accept yourself with compassion. It’s probably the first and most important layer. But it’s not enough. The result of this step is you feel a little better with yourself, understand more, less angry.

Thanks

Thanks for:

Waking up early, before the sun. Going outside. Feeling the wind. Post summer wind.

Listening to the sea waves. Moving my body.

Dealing with decisions that seem heavy but are not really so.

Drinking water and eating fruits.

The understanding that the best way to deal with the stress is to remove my ego and jump in the stress. With an open mind and hopefully a smile.

Feeling the negative thoughts dissolve slowly.

The few but so important partners I have in this journey.

I appreciate it. And I’m ready for the day.

Rolling with vulnerable inspiration – Rich Roll

This is not new. Maybe you know him. In case you don’t, here is his website. In a nutshell so small you will not feel it, Rich is an ultra athlete and a big believer in vegan nutrition. He started his ultra training after reaching the age of 40 in a bad shape, mentally and physically.

He has a cool wife and 4 kids. Living in an amazing house with a great view.

Currently he has a successful podcast, focusing on helping others to explore physical and mental quests and much more.

In case you saw, I try to find in each inspirational story, the special story or angle that resonate with me. Here and here.

So here it is for Rich’s story.

First, his voice. Soft, round. Welcoming. He seems like a good listener. Genuinely interested in learning and hearing.

Rich is data and facts driven, which is what I’d like everyone to be in an ideal world.

He is very pro vegan but admits he does not relate to the some of the communication that pro vegan movements use. Not coming from revolution but from growth.

He started his quest at what he calls middle age (what?… I see myself as a teenager :(). He escaped what he calls, and many of us feel, the Prison of Fear.

He is open about his struggles and failures.

He is on a mission together with his partner Julie. She is there for him. Her belief and values serve as a wall for him. This is so important. This is what love means. Be together when it’s hard and the fear and doubts come.

He took his passion and made it his life and work. This is the small thing. Much more important are who he is and the road he is taking.

He does sports. A lot. He eats green. A lot. My kind of guy.

Thanks Rich.

The Last Dance – lesson learned

Netflix’s the last dance about Michael Jordan. Strong.

Someone will get heart. Someone will disagree. Someone will not like you.

It will be hard. You will get tired.

But you don’t stop. You turn it to fuel for your journey. Your raise your head and look to the horizon.

Work. Hard. Try. Hard. Don’t compromise.

Be inspired and close to your family. Listen to them. Listen to yourself.

I Nike (like) Shoe Dog

Phil Knight started Nike as a US distributor of Japanese shoes. Importer. He is a self described shy person. To the extent he mentioned it as a reason for not going public back in the days with Nike.

He writes in an open way about his flaws and vulnerabilities.

He really really liked sports. And he and others working with him really really like shoes. It is easy to relate to that. Just think about holding your new running shoes. I like running. And I like having my new running shoes.

He makes mistakes. He never gives up. He does what he likes. He takes risks. He get tired, angry, stressed.

This is how inspiration looks and feels like.

Here is the book. I get no affiliate or other payment from any of the links. I get inspired.
